Welcome
to the Resource for Professional Film Makers, Broadcasters and Producers.
Several years ago, I joined forces with International Film Distributors,
headed by Leon Chooluck. (Producer/Director Murder by Contract, City
of Fear, Day of the Outlaw, El Cid, The Outer Limits, 3 The Hard Way"
"Apocalypse Now"…) He mentored Director J. Mykel Turner and me in
the ways of the film industry. My background prior to that was music,
finance, and video, all using computers.
Leon taught me the manual way of doing everything from pre-production
to sharing stories about how most film industry tools came about. He
knows his art and is good with it, but he and J. Mykel were not into
digital video. I guess they considered it was for the wannabe's of Hollywood.
My
prior experience with digital production came from Nu West Pictures'
owner Robert Harris. He was a visionary extraordinaire. His love was
acting, but he knew digital art was the future.
I
still love the work created in film, but so much more creativity can
be produced with digital animation, effects, music, and video. I still
have several projects in various stages with International Film Distributors,
and I look forward to contributing to the digital industry with DigitalPostProduction.com
Now
that digital animation, effects, music, and video have established its
market share of the entertainment industry, I am taking advantage of
that movement by promoting the latest tools, techniques and people who
contribute to digital art. Although I will be emphasizing the post production
end of things, DigitalMediaNet.com covers the entire range of digital
content creation.
Enjoy this Web site! It has lots to offer: news, the latest technology,
dynamic workstations, features, new gear, animation, video products,
streaming video demos and much more. I'll be developing the content
according to my own assessment of what's interesting to folks in the
post production industry…but, of course, it will be so much better if
I hear from those of you in the community who have ideas, questions,
and comments. Please don't hesitate to let me know what you'd like to
see in this Web site.
