Razorfish and Salon Selectives "See It and Do It"

LOS ANGELES, CA --(Nov. 29, 2000) Razorfish, Inc., the global digital solutions provider, and advertising agency J.Walter Thompson, today announced a collaboration for the Euro-modernistic Salon Selectives "See It, Do It" re-launch campaign.

Razorfish created the graphics, supers and end tags for the campaign comprised of four, thirty-second spots. The Razorfish creative team, comprised of Vanessa Marzaroli, design director and Ehren Addis, senior animator, created the graphics to enhance the magazine-like layout.

"To accomplish our objective, we worked in 3D which gave us the flexibility of movement and transparency," said Vanessa Marzaroli. "Our main focus was to integrate futuristic, elegant-yet-simple, clean type and graphics with director - Jim Sonzero's treatment. Because the speed changes, focusing then defocusing, we needed to devise graphics that complemented this style."

"With the re-launch of the brand, extra attention was placed on the product shot," said Razorfish executive producer, Janet Arlotta. "3D bottles in a digital environment gave us the flexibility to create motion with a virtual camera. The bottles float in space while the logo moves through the center of the bottle, giving it a hip, stylized energy that the client was seeking."

"We wanted to create a more memorable experience than the typical product shot
," added Razorfish producer, Amanda Lehman.

"The graphics and type represent the young, stylistic, trendy, energetic consumer wešre targeting, The Razorfish team had the right idea with 3D and the result is right on target with our creative brief." said J.Walter Thompson producer, Lisa Musik.
