Devine Entertainment Film Receives Emmy for Single Camera Editing for "Mary Cassatt: American Impressionist"

TORONTO--May 16, 2000--Devine Entertainment Corporation announced that its film, "Mary Cassatt: American Impressionist", produced by David Devine and Richard Mozer, was an Emmy winner on Saturday night. Editor Rik Morden won the Daytime Emmy in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Editing. Richard Mozer was also nominated for Outstanding Directing in a Children's Special. This is the Company's fifth Emmy Award. Last year, Devine Entertainment received three Emmys for its Inventors' Specials films. The Company's first Primetime Emmy was for "Beethoven Lives Upstairs" in 1993.

"We are truly thrilled for Rik. He has worked tirelessly and enthusiastically on nearly all of our films and it is wonderful that he is finally receiving the recognition he deserves for his talents,"
said producer David Devine.

"Mary Cassatt: American Impressionist" is part of Devine Entertainment's family series, The Artists' Specials, now on HBO in the U.S. and YTV in Canada. This succession of Emmy wins is a coup for a small, independent company like Devine Entertainment, positioning its films among the best live-action family films in the world.

Devine Entertainment Corporation is a developer and producer of high quality children's and family films designed for worldwide television and cable markets and international home video markets. The Company's new interactive history website, www.devinetime.com was a YAHOO! Canada "Pick of the Week" and won first prize in the Entertainment category at the Atlantic Digital Media Festival.
