RT-SET rewrites the Virtual Studio Rule Book

New York, NY RT-NET, the new media division of RT-SET (Real Time Synthesized Entertainment Technology) Ltd, (Neuer Markt: RTZ), a world leading provider of fully integrated broadcast graphics solutions, announces the inca Internet virtual studio systems. These new products are set to revolutionise the streaming media web-cast industry with the use of PC-based solutions.

RT-NET was formed in anticipation of the acquisition of Evans & Sutherland's Digital Video Division in March 2000, and aims to provide cost effective turnkey Internet virtual studio web-cast graphics solutions running on a PC platform with Windows interface.

The inca range from RT-NET brings tomorrow's solutions today, giving the Internet broadband web-caster broadcast quality now. Inspiring a fundamental change in the marketplace these systems will establish a new benchmark for price and performance as well as provide a solution to the issues of system redundancy.

The inca range will offer remote location based net-casting and broadcast quality graphics in real-time, allowing live performance over the Internet with a significant cut in traditional studio production costs. Benefits include reduced use of post-production as well as a reduction of studio production costs. Additionally, multiple programs can be produced out of the same studio on the same day.

Among the technologies incorporated into the new inca range are Intense 3D's WildcatÃ' 4210 3D graphics accelerator card that employs the industry's first full dual-pipeline graphics architecture to deliver intense, real-time performance for professional 3D graphics applications such as digital content creation and web-cast. The Wildcat 4210 enables seamless synchronization of multiple sources of animation, video, and graphics with a pixel fill rate and geometry performance that makes it ideal for virtual sets.

The open architecture of the new inca systems provides complete integration with a choice of options, including tracking systems, DV cameras, pedestals, and PCs, providing a wide number of combinations depending on budget and applications.

The inca products will initially be offered in two distinct packages to satisfy the current demand for streaming media content production:

inca 2100: Entry level system. Includes one output channel, and supports one tracked camera and three fixed cameras, or, from one to four non-tracked cameras. inca 2300: Includes two output channels, which allows "preview" capability. Supports one or two tracked cameras, plus non-tracked cameras. Supports effects between cameras.
