RIDGE, N.J., March 16, 2000 -- Sony announced the appointment of Stephen
E. Jacobs to Senior Vice President, Networked Systems Businesses for Sony
Electronics' Broadcast and Professional Company. In this capacity, Mr.
Jacobs will be responsible for sales and marketing of Sony's Internet
and network services business, including the following product areas:
Asset Management, Digital Library, Archiving, Webcasting and Newsroom
Systems. "Steve's extensive knowledge and experience with both broadcast
news and the Internet will allow him to play a leading role in Sony's
E-commerce and network strategy," said Edward Grebow, president
of Sony Electronics' Broadcast and Professional Company.
