NEW
YORK, NY, March 7- At each of the 18 Nike Town retail stores, the lights
dim every 15 minutes and large projection screens or monitors display
promos for the new Nike brand clothing lines. The centerpiece promo
was created by NYC design house Eyeball.
The :70 promo, entitled
"Kids Spring 2000," which debuts in April, will also be shown at Nike
factory stores and selected retail partner locations, like Footlocker
and Champs.
Eyeball art director
Jory Hull used Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop
to achieve the look. Interestingly, Hull noted he was aided by the techno
soundtrack that was in hand before Eyeball began to work on the visual
accompaniment.
"For the Kids
category piece the design had to be really bright, playful and fun,"
explained producer Christa Panfilio of Nike's film and video
department. "We all felt the still photos were great, and with the
help of the right design firm, would translate to the moving image.
Everyone was very pleased with Eyeball's approach."
