Even Faster, Sharper, Easier Editing!

Markham, Ontario -- (March 3, 2000) -- Digital Processing Systems Inc. (TSE - DPS) announced that it is now shipping the latest version of its real-time dual-stream non-linear editing solution, dpsVelocity 7.1. dpsVelocity consists of fully integrated DPS hardware and software, and provides users with a complete editing solution from one company. dpsVelocity's faster, sharper easier edits are based on hardware that offers flexible video/audio I/O and integrated real-time 3D controls in a single PCI slot along with editing software that is refined, powerful and intuitive.

"Just a few months ago, the initial 7.0 release of dpsVelocity delivered seamlessly integrated uncompressed/compressed capabilities with real-time 3D effects that were second-to-none. DPS set new NLE standards in the areas of price, performance, quality and functionality," said Rich Green, dpsVelocity Product Manager. "Following the well received initial release, customers reported that the dpsVelocity system was far superior to competitive products in terms of stability, features and quality performance," Green added. "Now the new productivity tools in dpsVelocity 7.1 make our system even more attractive."

dpsVelocity 7.1 includes many new real-time editing features, such as additional Advanced Trim Window controls, Real-time Rendering, Parametric Audio EQ, and Network Editing. dpsVelocity 7.1 also features support for the digital I/O hardware options that include DV, SDI, and DV/SDI digital video with AES/EBU, S/PDIF and embedded digital audio.

Craig Townsend, an eight-year digital video veteran with Innovative Video Productions, stated: "We have very demanding clients, but all are extremely pleased with the quality and timeliness we're able to provide with our rock solid dpsVelocity system. We haven't found anything that can compare with the ultra smooth scrolling titles/graphics and the best real time 3D effects in the business -- at any price. All this and more is wrapped in an impressive interface which allows new and experienced users alike to get started right away and yet has the power to handle the most complex professional editing tasks imaginable. I would recommend that you take a look at the dpsVelocity system. You're going to be pleasantly surprised."

Registered dpsVelocity 7.0 customers will receive the completely upgraded feature set of dpsVelocity 7.1 free of charge.
