Haar/Germany,
February 14, 2000 - Klotz Digital Audio (NAB Booths #R3798 and M7173)
will introduce several new products at this year's National Association
of Broadcasters' (NAB) convention in Las Vegas, beginning April 10th.
Among Klotz Digital's new offerings will be: a worldwide audio distribution
platform, the VADIS 880, for audio console and control surface manufacturers;
the company's first 64-channel digital broadcast mixing system, the
DBM 6412; an open architecture digital processing unit, the VADIS Core
6400; a newly designed modular mixing surface, the VADIS D.C. II; and
a new, remote-ready microphone pre-amp module.
The
new VADIS 880 is offered as a worldwide platform for mixing console
and control surface manufacturers serving the broadcast, multimedia,
audio recording and sound reinforcement industries. The VADIS 880 platform
provides a unique yet efficient approach to audio routing, fiber optic
distribution, format conversion, machine control, and includes a wide
range of DSP functions. Multiple control locations can share: sources,
area wide logic control, signal routing, splitting and more. Applications
for the VADIS 880 platform include television and radio studios, satellite
television networks, and audio networks for public address systems.
Klotz Digital will also introduce its first 64-channel digital broadcast
mixing (DBM) system, the DBM 6412, for broadcast television, radio and
professional applications. The DBM 6412 contains a built-in fiber optic
interface, the VADIS Core 6400 digital processing unit and a fully equipped
broadcast mixer, combined with the most requested broadcast features.
The external IO 6405 break out box includes I/O and additional modules
to further expand the system. All networking applications are included,
and the DBM 6412 system can be implemented directly into a VADIS digital
network.
The new VADIS Core 6400 digital processing unit is the heart of the
entire VADIS product line. In combination with a Klotz Digital broadcast
mixing surface (the DBM 6412) and IO 6405 break out box, users enjoy
a compact and professional digital broadcast console and on-air readiness.
The 6400 series of digital processing units are fully compatible with
the VADIS audio media platform. The VADIS Core 6400 open architecture
DPU is also an excellent solution for third-party partners looking to
seamlessly implement Klotz technology.
Klotz Digital is also offering a newly designed modular mixing surface
concept, the VADIS DC II for the customization of broadcast and production
audio mixing consoles. The VADIS DC II surface is fully compatible with
the VADIS 880 platform. With the VADIS system's open architecture, customers
are able to build any surface required for broadcast applications. The
new modular VADIS surface is also available as a split-console. Any
console connected to the VADIS 880 platform will create a highly reliable
mixing system.
A new 24-bit microphone preamp module for the VADIS platform will also
be introduced at NAB 2000. The new two-channel mic preamp contains:
24-bit A/D conversion, a balanced Mic/Line input, balanced insert per
channel, 48V of phantom power, and ultra low noise.
