At NAB 2000, Kaydara announces FiLMBOX on-air, a real-time 3D broadcast system designed for the production of virtual backgrounds and motion graphics for daily news, sports, and series programming. Including both off-line and on-line tools for design, setup, and playback of 3D and 2D content, FiLMBOX on-air can be used for ITU-R-601 or HDTV-resolution production. Capable of productions ranging from simple animated sequences through complex multiple-layer composites, FiLMBOX on-air provides a cost-effective solution for producing high-quality broadcast content.

FiLMBOX is a real-time production system with an advanced suite of motion capture, animation and interactive rendering tools. FiLMBOX provides integration with all the main 3D packages, which allows users of Alias|Wavefront Power Animator and Maya, Kinetix 3D Studio Max, NewTek LightWave, and Softimage|3D to take full advantage of FiLMBOX motion capture and animation tools. Available on both the Microsoft Windows NT (Intel and Alpha) and Silicon Graphics IRIX operating systems.
