Enlight Turns Objects into Light Emitting Sources

St. Rose LA--(March 2, 2000)--Digimation announced the immediate availability of Enlight. Enlight is a 3D Studio MAXâ Release 3 Plug-in developed by Sitni Sati and distributed by Digimation. Enlight places virtual lights on mesh faces creating the illusion of turning an object into a light-emitting source. With Enlight, you can add UV lights based on the UV mapping coordinates applied to the object and have Enlight completely disregard its physical structure. Enlight’s adaptability offers excellent performance with low or high polygon count models.

Enlight is a great choice for game developers. It is fully compatible with standard 3D Studio MAXâ tools that store illumination information in vertex color channels. This makes it easy to export Enlight's state-of-the-art illumination solution directly to your game engine.

Enlight also offers an Advanced Shadowing System, where shadows can be cast which are dependent on object proportions, position, rotation, or even manual placement. It is now easy to have appropriate illumination and shadowing based upon an objects structure.

With Enlight’s "click once, create and pick many" technology, users can create as many Enlights as there are selected objects. Each Enlight is pre-configured and assigned a single object. This technology provides the simplest way to perform the "create and pick" task. Included with Enlight is a Manager script that allows you to easily handle dozens of lights with one mouse click.

Enlight also includes Enlight Particles. This light type uses proven AfterBurn AFC and Gradient technology to control particle illumination based on particle life and age. This allows for complete, unlimited control over your Animation.
