New Matrox Platform Provides Multi-format DV, DV50, and MPEG-2 Support
NAB 2000 - LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - April 9, 2000 - Matrox Video Products
Group today announced that edit* V6.0, Discreet's nonlinear Windows-NT
finishing system, will support the Matrox DigiSuite DTV realtime editing
platform. Post facilities, broadcasters, corporations and educational
institutions will now have the ability to work with two streams of DV,
DV50, or MPEG-2 video plus an uncompressed graphics track in real-time.
They can also take advantage of MPEG-2 output that provides built-in
support for DVD authoring.

capabilities with all of today's important digital television formats
- a powerful and unbeatable tool set for facilities that shoot in the
DV formats and deliver their projects on tape, broadcast servers, DVD,

Matrox DigiSuite DTV is available from authorized resellers worldwide,
priced at $5,995 US and includes Sonic Solutions DVDit! SE for DVD authoring.
Discreet edit* v6.0 is expected to be available in the fall, and will
be priced starting from $9,995 US.
