Adobe Receives
Ten Industry Awards Including 'Best Animation Software' And 'Best Compositing
Software' for After Effects 4.1
SAN JOSE, Calif., April Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) announced
that Adobe After Effects 4.1 was named "Best Animation Software (under
$5K)" and "Best Compositing Software (under $2,500)" in Post Magazine's
9th Annual Post Awards held last week in Las Vegas. Post Magazine, a
leading publication for professional post-production and multimedia
professionals, honors the best technology products each year at the
National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention. Adobe also received
awards from Film & Video magazine, AV Video Multimedia Producer magazine,
and 365Broadcast.com. In all, Adobe was presented with ten industry
awards at NAB.
Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere(R) garnered top industry recognition
receiving Users' Choice Awards for the "Most Widely Used Software" from
Film & Video magazine, a leading publication for the film, television
and interactive industries. The magazine also recognized Adobe's commitment
to excellence by awarding the company top honors in the "Overall Product
Quality" and "Overall Service Quality" categories.
"Adobe Systems won more Film & Video awards than any other company at
the show," said Peter Caranicas, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of
Film & Video Magazine. "These awards are based on an independent survey
of Film & Video readers. Adobe's popularity among its customers is obvious
testimony to the excellence of the company's products and the reliability
of its service."
Continuing to receive recognition for its achievements in 1999, Adobe
was presented with five Platinum Awards it won in January from AV Video
Multimedia Producer Magazine. Adobe After Effects 4.1 won a Platinum
Award for "Best Compositing Software and DVE System." Adobe Photoshop(R)
5.5 and Adobe Premiere 5.1 RT also received Platinum Awards for "Best
Painting and Imaging Software" and "Best Nonlinear-Editing Software."
Adobe PageMill and Adobe GoLive 4.0 respectively won the Readers' Choice
Award and the Outstanding Achievement award in the "Internet/Intranet
Authoring Software" category.
Additionally, Adobe's corporate website, http://www.adobe.com won "Best
Company Website" from 365Broadcast.com, an interactive community for
broadcast professionals, in its First Annual Dub Dub Dub Awards.

The awards Adobe received at NAB last week add to the growing list of
awards that have been given to Adobe this year. Adobe LiveMotion won
the "Best of Show Award" at Spring Internet World earlier this month.
In addition, Adobe Photoshop 5.5 and Adobe ActiveShare both received
"Excellence in Imaging Awards" at the Photo Marketing Association Show
in February. Adobe After Effects and Adobe InDesign software also took
top honors in their respective categories, "Best Digital Video Software"
and "Best Publishing Software," at the 15th annual Macworld Editors'
Choice Awards in January.
