For three years, dozens of Cleveland filmmakers joined forces to create what is being hailed as a magnificent, lavish science-fiction epic; an epic told with 3,000 costumed extras, over a dozen studios to create 450 digital effects and 48 massive locations including NASA, nuclear power plants, prisons and cathedrals.

The incredible scope of this movie makes it one of the biggest independent movies made in the history of cinema. This extraordinary saga of totalitarian rule in the post-nuclear future is clearly setting the benchmark for moviemaking. Produced digitally for an astounding $20,000, audiences have marveled at the multimillion dollar look of what a new era of filmmakers has offered.

The Plot

One takes place 72 years after the third world war in a utopian nation-state built upon the struggles of post-nuclear survivors. Glittering cityscapes pierce the vast industrial wastelands as a new era of prosperity begins. But not all is at it seems as dreams of a masterpiece society fall prey to man’s relentless pursuit of perfection.

This is the story of Orin Stalward, a young man whose admittance to New Athens Military Academy marks him as one of the best and brightest young men in the world, and destined to become one of the ruling elite.

Within days of his arrival, Orin learns of an underground resistance movement called Spectrum whose terrorist activities continuously hinder the peaceful aire of New Athens. Despite the broadcasted violence, Orin continues his education with remarkable skill and is soon noticed by Chancellor Derek Strombourg who affords him the opportunity to work as his assistant.

Orin's success brings him promotions and the respect of the community while his curiosity in Spectrum grows. One day, he is assigned to work with Mira DelForna, the city's security chief. Throughout their developing relationship, Orin begins questioning the powerful hand of the government, much to Mira’s disdain.

The awful truth suddenly becomes apparent during a visit to the nearby city of Parcenon where Orin and Mira discover a vast network of underground laboratories used for conducting cloning and genetic engineering experiments on the student of New Athens.

The school is nothing more than a test site to find the genetic cornerstone for a new race of people, impervious to disease, with higher intelligence who will embody the principles of utopia. While searching the lab, Orin is horrified to find a clone of himself. It is he who is the cornerstone.
