Future Media Concepts [FMC] announced that it has received an award from Avid Technology, Inc. for becoming the number one Avid Authorized Education Center [AAEC] worldwide. Future Media Concepts was awarded this accolade for training more students on Avid systems than any other training center in the world.

“Over the last eight years, Future Media Concepts has successfully and consistently passed the rigorous certification process that we have in place for all our AAECs, which includes meeting strict guidelines for facility quality, system specifications, and instructor qualifications,” explains Michael Pashby, Manager of Educational Services at Avid Technology. “FMC has a long history of dedication to high-quality training, and they employ some of the industry’s best trainers. Their ever increasing number of satisfied students has earned FMC’s place as the number one Avid training center worldwide.”

With newly opened training centers in Miami and Orlando, Future Media Concepts now boasts a total of six training centers, fully equipped with the latest technology from Avid. In 2002, Future Media Concepts trained over 1,000 students in a variety of Avid courses ranging from introductory seminars targeted at beginners to high-end editing master classes and specialist skill courses, such as compositing, effects and editing for forensics.

The award will be formally presented to FMC at an Avid Educational Services gala dinner at NAB 2003 in Las Vegas in April.
