Endless Noise Scores Two Clio Awards for Nike "Freestyle" Spot
Wins Gold for original music and Bronze for sound design

LOS ANGELES (May 23, 2002) -- Sound design and music company Endless Noise scored two 2002 Clio Awards in the Television/Cinema and Radio category at the annual presentation ceremony held last week Endless Noise won a Gold Clio statue win for original music for Nike "Freestyle," and a Bronze Clio statue win for the spot's sound design.

Clio is the largest and most well-known advertising awards program in the world, with more than 17,000 pieces submitted from agencies and production facilities in 67 countries.

Endless Noise creative director and Nike "Freestyle" co-composer and sound designer Jeff Elmassian credited advertising agency Wieden & Kennedy's creative directors Hal Curtis and Jim Riswold, producer Vic Palumbo and copywriter Jimmy Smith, as well as his co-composers for the project, hip-hop legends Afrika Bambaataa and Steven "Boogie" Brown, plus the project's choreographer Savion Glover, director Paul Hunter and editor Adam Pertofsky.

"Honestly," Elmassian says, "continuing to collaborate with Hal Curtis and Wieden and Kennedy's all-star team, as well as the talents they assemble for projects like this, is really an inspiration. The challenge of creating sound-driven music for Nike "Freestyle" has resulted in a new genre of music that I'm now continuing to explore for a lot of new projects.

"The recognition is a tremendous honor -- and I'm grateful to everyone that contributed to this amazing campaign and to all those I've had the honor of working with to this point in my career," he says.

The original Nike "Freestyle" Basketball spot was received enthusiastically by consumers and the creative community alike and continues to collect awards and honors, including:
