Saratoga, Calif.­-(Feb. 09, 2001 ) HumanSoftware is now shipping TEXTISSIMO version 3.0, filters for Adobe Photoshop. The $129 software is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/2000 or PowerMacintosh. The filters are also compatible with applications supporting Photoshop 3, such as Photoshop 6 or Corel PhotoPaint.

The company says they added an advanced user interface with an extra large preview, unlimited zooming ability on any portion of the working area. Textissimo lets users apply special effects on Photoshop's alpha channel and directly manipulate outline paths or text (TrueType fonts) created within TEXTISSIMO.

TEXTISSIMO works around a virtual engine made of approximately 25 basic operations such as emboss, gaussian blur, gradient, color matrix, wind, noise, textures, etc. in combination with up to 28 alpha channels. Those operations can be edited and combined to create new effects.

TEXTISSIMO comes with a library of more than 750 effects such as Chrome, Mercury, Glass, Bubbles, Fire, Ice, Lava, Magma, Smokes, Ghosts, Shadows, Distressed, etc.

Textissimo v3 supports multiple layers of effects within a plug-in. Text and paths control have been extended including path warping and text flow. The final effect can be uploaded to an internet-compatible JPEG or GIF.

Textissimo 3.0 new interface supports Photoshop 3.0+ filter plug-in
standard, making it compatible with other applications.
