London­-(Feb. 07, 2001)-- Sapphire Innovations has released six new sets of addons for Adobe Photoshop. Sapphire Displacer Vols. 1 and 2 are collections of displacement effects, which can be used to displace the entire image or apply to layers or to a select or displace text or individual letters. They can also be used to create glass distortions, textures, etc. Plus they can be stacked to create effect combinations.

Displacer Vol. 1 includes a variety of styles, from blurry to the rough to the lined. There are 350 displacement maps in this set. Vol. 2 focuses more on inset-, contoured- and line-based jarring displacement maps. There are 160 displacement maps in Vol. 2.

The company has also released four new volumes of patterns for Photoshop. Each one includes 80 patterns at either 250 x 250 or 300 x 300.

Both the patterns and displacement maps require Photoshop 6. Patterns cost $24.95 for Vol. 1 and $12.95 each for vols. 2 though 4. The displacement maps cost $19.95 each. All sets are available for Macintosh and Windows. For more information, visit http://www.sapphire-innovations.com.
