Hollywood, CA­-(Feb. 02, 2001 )-- Producer Barbara Schwarz has joined the staff of yU + co, the motion graphics design and production company. Schwarz had been working as a freelance agency producer in Chicago, with recent credits at DDB Worldwide, Publicis Hal Riney and Arian, Lowe & Travis. Her background also includes a staff post as a producer with Leo Burnett, Chicago. In her new role, Schwarz will produce motion graphics for television commercials.

"In addition to her agency experience, which is very impressive, Barbara has done significant work on the production side, and that balance make her a very strong addition to yU + co," said yU + co creative director Garson Yu in announcing the appointment. "We also like her work ethic and her aesthetic judgement."

As a freelancer, Schwarz has worked frequently with DDB Worldwide over the past three years, producing broadcast work for such clients as General Mills, Pep Boys and Hamilton Beach. At Leo Burnett, she produced for Kraft and Pillsbury. A graduate of Indiana University, Schwarz began her career with the post house Editel, Chicago. She also worked as a producer for H-Gun, Chicago, a producer of music videos and broadcast promotions.

Schwarz said she looks forward to helping yU + co grow its commercial business. "yU + co has established a very strong reputation for the quality and originality of its work," she said.
