Palo Alto, CA (USA)-(2001-01-02
) Pyramidfilm has ordered a pair of 24/96-capable System 5 High Performance
Digital Post Production Consoles for installation in a Tokyo-based film/video
post complex.
The
two all-digital consoles will be installed within PThree, a video division
of Pyramidfilm Co., Ltd. Designed to handle a wide cross section of
applications, System 5 is targeted towards post-production, music recording
and on-air broadcast customers that require greater than 100 channel
paths of full 24-bit digital signal processing at up to 96 kHz sampling
rates. A total of 53 System 5 Digital Consoles - The Three-in-One Solution
- have now been ordered.
Pyramidfilm was established in early 1978 by Kazumi Kurigami,
a well-known Japanese photographer, to provide graphics and film production
services, primarily for television commercials.
"Many of the commercials that Pyramidfilm produces are highly
regarded for their outstanding image and sound quality", says
Yoshi Shimizu, Managing Director of Euphonix-Japan. The Pyramidfilm
facility includes film shooting stages, computer graphics studios and
film/video editing suites and post production stages, all under one
roof. "The two System 5s will be installed in Pyramidfilm's
Post Production Complex", Shimizu continues, "for use
by one of Japan"s best audio engineering team to create impressive
soundtracks."
According to Takaomi Tomura, Chief Engineer at Pyramidfilm, "The
reason we chose the System 5 is simple: No other console can offer a
similar degree of expandability, and intuitiveness for the user."
Yukiyoshi Yamanaka, General Manager of Engineering, adds: "We
chose the best!"
"We are very proud of the way our System 5 has been accepted
so quickly by the Japanese pro-audio community," says Piers
Plaskitt, Euphonix president. "We have seen the console
find rapid acceptance in film, post and music applications, reinforcing
our belief that we have developed the ideal three-in-one solution for
the industry."
