MALVERN, PA ­-(Jan. 29, 2001 )-- RAVISENT Technologies Inc. announced that Pinnacle Systems has bundled RAVISENT's CinePlayer DVR and CinePlayer Editor software with its latest video capture and editing package: Studio VCD.

Combined with Pinnacle Systems' dedicated video capture board and driver, CinePlayer DVR and CinePlayer Editor offers a unique solution designed to capture and edit video straight to MPEG or ASF format in real time, for a completely new way to create VideoCDs. Studio VCD will be distributed by Pinnacle Systems' reseller channel in the main Asian markets. CinePlayer DVR is RAVISENT's high performance, software based solution designed to take the digital signal from a video capture card and record, in real-time, as an MPEG file. CinePlayer Editor is a software based editing package designed to cut, clip and paste MPEG streams without decompressing the file.

RAVISENT also offers CinePlayer DVR and CinePlayer Editor to PC OEMs and Consumer Electronic OEMs who can leverage the technology enabling "pause", and "replay" functionality as part of the time shifting capabilities complete solution.
